Stewardship of Financial Resources

In John Kotter’s 8-Step Change Model, he focuses on Removing Obstacles under Step 5.

In my New Normal document, I use this change management step, to re-think how we spend valuable resources and actually redeploy funds for the new day. Leadership Teams must make tough decisions and free up cash flow, to seek new creative opportunities. It all starts, though with senior leadership, who need to lead by example and cut their own expense first.

Key Points:

• Leadership must also control and cut expenses, as well as manage cash flow.

• This will involve looking for new creative ways to work-share.

• Those in leadership, leading by example, should cut their own costs first.

Next week we will look at what this looks like in the real world.
